We ask that you consider your carbon footprint when using appliances. In most of our apartments, we now use energy efficient lightbulbs, which take slightly longer to brighten up.
DISHWASHER
The dishwasher is in the kitchen. We have provided you with some complimentary dishwasher tablets for your arrival to start you off. If you require more, they can be found for purchase at the local Tesco Express or any other convenience shop/supermarket.
In order to turn it on hold the left-hand button then press the Mode button between 1 and 5 times depending on how many settings there are and which setting you need. Then place in one tablet and close
WASHER/DRYER
The washing machine is also located within the kitchen. We have provided you with some complimentary washing tablets for your arrival to start you off. If you require more, they can be found for purchase at the local Tesco Express or any other convenience store or supermarket.
INSTRUCTIONS
Please ensure you follow the washing guide provided on your clothing then select the appropriate wash option. Each washing machine can provide ‘Hot’ & ‘Cold’ washes along with several different settings for different materials and items.
To use the dryer, please unsure the wash cycle has finished. Turn the main dial onto ‘Dry’ or ‘Dryer’ then press the ‘dry time’ button to select the length of time required. (Please be aware that as this appliance is a combination of ‘Wash’ & ‘Dry’ the drying time may vary.
OVEN/HOB
Oven
The oven in your apartment is electrical
Hob
The hob is an Induction Hob. Pots and pans are located in your kitchen cupboard.
Please ensure that you keep all doors closed when cooking and make sure that your extractor fan is on. The smoke detectors in the apartments are very sensitive and they have been installed these for your own safety. Please do not tamper with the smoke alarm or remove the batteries.
EXTRACTOR FAN
There is a switch next to the extractor fan underneath the cupboard. Please use this at all times when cooking items on the hob. Please also close your kitchen door, and if possible, open a window, as smoke detectors in your apartment are very sensitive and may be activated by cooking.
BOILERS & WALL HEATERS
Boiler is located in the storage room in the hallway. The boilers are all on a timer. To activate the boost button please press the small square button on the front, top right-hand corner on the boiler. A little red light will come on and this shows the boost has been activated.
To turn on the wall heaters, press the power switch on, on the side of the heater. The main power switch is located next to the heater on the wall and should always be left in the on position. To adjust the temperature, please turn the dial located on the side of the heater above the power switch or press the up/down arrow on the thermostat display (if applicable) on top of the heater.
Due to the ongoing increase of electric costs, we have chosen to remove the fuses out of the bathroom towel radiator. The radiator can still be used to hand your towels or other items but will not heat up.
FUSE BOX
The fuse box is in the boiler cupboard in the hallway. In the unlikely event of a power outage, the fuse box can be checked for trips and if required, reset. Caution is advised and if you are unsure, please contact Reception or the Duty Manager.
