Which cities do The Spires Serviced Apartments have properties in?

We currently have properties in Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

What are the apartment options and capacities at each of the locations at The Spires?

Aberdeen – 1 bedroom (capacity 2), 2 bedroom (capacity 4), 2 bedroom executive (capacity 4) and 2 bedroom deluxe (capacity 6).

Birmingham– 1 bedroom (capacity 2), 2 bedroom (capacity 4), 2 bedroom deluxe (capacity 6) and 2 bedroom grand deluxe (capacity 6).

Cardiff – Studio (capacity 2), Studio executive (capacity 2), 1 bedroom (capacity 2), 2 bedroom (capacity 4),

Edinburgh – Studio (capacity 2), 1 bedroom (capacity 2), 2 bedroom (capacity 4), 2 bedroom triple (capacity 6) and 2 bedroom plus (capacity 6).

Glasgow – 1 bedroom (capacity 2), 2 bedroom (capacity 4), 2 bedroom deluxe (capacity 6) and 3 bedroom penthouse (capacity 6).

What is the child policy at The Spires?

Children are welcome at The Spires. With a selection of 2 bedroom apartments at each of our 5 locations, families will benefit from greater space than a hotel room and at a fraction of the cost of booking 2 hotel bedrooms. Cots are available for babies and young children free of charge and can be used in all studios and apartments.

Does The Spires offer free guest Wi-Fi?

Yes, free unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout each property.

What time is check-in and check-out at The Spires?

Check-in is from 2pm for all locations except Glasgow which is from 3pm. Check-out is by 10am for all locations.

Is housekeeping included with a stay at The Spires?

On stays longer than 7 nights we offer weekly servicing. A more regular service can be offered for an additional fee.

Are towels and linen provided?

Towels and bed linen are provided at all properties.

What is the pet policy at The Spires?

The Spires Serviced Apartments Aberdeen, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow offer its guests pet friendly accommodation. Guests travelling with pets will be charged a pet fee of £10 per night with a minimum charge of £20 and maximum charge of £50 for stays of up to 7 nights. For stays of 8 nights or longer and additional £20 will be charged each week, which is used to cover the deep cleaning of the apartment on departure.

All guests who have a pet with them must have prior agreement from Management and will be required to agree to the terms and conditions of The Spires pet policy, which is provided at the time of booking.

Which properties at The Spires have a lift (elevator)?

Aberdeen: no

Birmingham: yes to all floors

Cardiff: yes to all floors. Some apartments have steps up to them

Edinburgh: yes to all floors. Please be aware there is 6 steps up to the lift when you first enter the property

Glasgow: yes to all floors

What is the breakfast available at The Spires?

Bed and breakfast rates are available to book, or breakfast can be added at an extra cost. In Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow we offer a basic cold breakfast which usually contains the following: croissant (or similar), cereal bar, muesli (or similar), yoghurt, fruit juice and milk. Breakfast is placed into your apartment prior to arrival and then topped up each day. Aberdeen differs as breakfast is provided by a local supplier. We cannot guarantee that our breakfasts are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies and intolerances.

What is the arrival Information at The Spires?

Prior to arrival our team will contact you to ensure you have all your important arrival information. If they are unable to reach you by telephone they will then try by email or WhatsApp, hence why we require contact details prior to arrival. How is payment taken for my reservation at the Spires?

Payment is taken by debit or credit card only; cash or cheque is not accepted. For Super Advanced Purchase reservations guests will be sent an email within 24 hours of making reservation with a payment link for full pre-payment. Best available Room Only and Breakfast rates do not require payment at time of booking and will be sent a payment link 7 days prior to the arrival date to enable payment to be made through our secure payment portal. All payments are required prior to arrival.

Do you offer long term leases or rates on a monthly basis?

Although there is no limit to how long you stay with us, our rates are always on a nightly basis. We do not offer monthly rates.

Are there special offers at The Spires Serviced Apartments?

When booking on our website or directly with us over the phone we always offer the lowest rates and the greatest choice. For the best value and greatest flexibility, select our Guest Loyalty Rate and benefit from a preferential rate, free cancellation and no deposit or pre-payment required.

Are there any city levies in place?

If you are planning to stay in Edinburgh on or after 24 July 2026, a 5% visitor levy charge will be added to your accommodation cost. All stays in paid, overnight accommodation in Edinburgh are liable for the levy. This includes tourists, people staying for work or visiting the city for other reasons. This includes UK and Scottish residents.

If you are planning to stay in Glasgow on or after 25 January 2027, a 5% visitor levy will be added to your accommodation cost. This follows the introduction of the levy from 1 April 2026. The charge applies to all paid overnight stays in the city, whether you are visiting for leisure, business, or any other reason, and includes UK and Scottish residents.

Aberdeen. Ample free onsite private parking is available.

Birmingham. Limited onsite parking is available at £20/day and can be reserved by calling us at time of booking. Discounted parking at Q-Park, The Mailbox, 7 Commercial Street, located directly opposite The Spires. They offer our guests a 25% discount off their advertised rates. Their hourly rates can be found by clicking here. Satnav: B1 1RD. This needs to be prebooked using a code which will be provided prior to arrival.

Q-Park is open 24/7 and features PaSS Technology (Automated Number Plate Recognition) for seamless entry and exit. Selected sites also offer convenient electric vehicle charging stations – for more information on how to use these facilities, click here.

Cardiff. Limited onsite parking is available at £20/day and can be reserved by calling us at time of booking. Alternatively, pay and display parking is available at nearby Sophia Gardens. Satnav: CF11 9SZ.

Edinburgh. Car parking is not available on site. Discounted car parking is available at Q-Park OMNI Greenside Place. They offer a 25% discount off their advertised rates using a code which we will provide. Satnav: EH1 3AN. The cost of parking for 24 hours is £26 or £19.50 after the discount is applied. Glasgow. Car parking is not available on site. Discounted car parking is available at NCP Glassford Street. They offer our guests 12 hours for £7.95 or 24 hours for £11.50. The discount is accessed using the NCP mobile phone app. Satnav: G1 1UP. Reception will provide a code to be used in the NCP mobile phone app.

Anyone using our car park(s) do so at their own risk. The management will not accept liability for any accidents, damage or loss to vehicles.
