Our central locations provide easy access to many attractions, restaurants and shopping areas to ensure there is plenty to do whilst staying at The Spires.
The following are some of the 2025 event highlights taking place in each location. These include one-off events, carnivals, food festivals and local cultural events.
ABERDEEN
Looking ahead to the festive season and the fun that it brings. From mid-November until late December the Aberdeen Christmas Village will come to life in Broad Street complete with open-air ice rink, fairground rides and plenty of food stalls.
BIRMINGHAM
Events taking place in Birmingham this Autumn include Birmingham Cocktail Weekend (22nd to 25th October), Mind Body Spirit Festival at the NEC (13th to 15th November) and Birmingham Running Festival at Sutton Park (10th May). The Frankfurt Christmas Market will be returning from November until late December, held in Victoria Street and New Street.
CARDIFF
Take the family to Cardiff Halloween Festival at Cardiff Bay (dates to be confirmed) and see the area transformed into a Halloween Island . The Cardiff Christmas Market returns in November and will offer stalls and food and drink across the pedestrianised areas of the city (12th November to 23rd December).
EDINBURGH
Visit the Royal Botanic Garden and enjoy any of their events throughtout the year. Venture to Edinburgh Castle and enjoy the lighting displays on the castle (21st November to 4th January) or the famous Edinburgh Hogmanay on New Year’s Eve with concerts, fireworks and street parties.
GLASGOW
Plan ahead for the biggest event coming to Glasgow next year with the 2026 Commonwealth Games being held across the city from 23rd July to 2nd August. Prior to that, experience the Glasgow Christmas Markets (Mid November to 5th January) and visit stalls, ice skating rink, Victorian carousel and amusement rides for children.
